Podcast: Steven Spielberg Movie Series

We’ve done a lot of Movie Series’ over the years and this is among the most daunting. Steven Spielberg is one of the GOAT’s of cinema, obviously, and he’s been studied to death for decades now. So how do we differentiate ourselves while diving into Spielberg’s filmography? Well, instead of focusing on his most popular and successful movies, this series will be dedicated to his lesser known and least talked about films. Duel, Empire of the Sun, Munich and A.I. may not have the vast fanbase that Jaws and Indiana Jones has, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t good movies or worth dissecting. It’s still the same director after all. We may get into those popular works in bonus content, but for the main part of this series, we’ll be reviewing the films that tend to fly under the radar when someone mentions the name Spielberg. It’s going to be fun and we hope you enjoy the ride as we will.

Note: We will make an exception for E.T. at the very end of this series as the film is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, so we felt it would be an appropriate coda to this journey.

Also note that some of these are from very early on in the podcast’s history, and the audio may be rough as we hadn’t formed our identity yet as a show. Which could be a great reason to revisit some of these down the road. At any rate, please check out these reviews as well and enjoy!
