After a couple of Movie Series focusing on big budget spectacles, the Extra Film boys always seem to balance it out with an auteur director who challenges both the hosts in ways they usually aren’t challenged by today’s cinema. Usually a series like that would involve first-time watches for both hosts, but in this case, David Lynch is a director Jay is very familiar with, being one of his favorite directors of all time. Known for being weird and unaccessible to standard audiences, Lynch is a unique voice in Hollywood who stands to make some of the most original films ever put to screen. With this being a history lesson for Ryan as the guys explore Lynch’s filmography, it is no secret that by the end of the series, he is everything you would think he is and then some. From noir thrillers to sandworms, Lynch is the wildest, purest director the boys have covered so far. Listen to all of their episodes on Lynch below.
