This week on the InSession Film Podcast, for Part 2 of our InSession Film Awards, we discuss our Top 10 movies of 2021! It started off slow, but it ended up being a very strong year for film in the end, and we had a really fun discussion counting down the very best that cinema had to offer at the movies (and at home) this last year.
For the longest time it felt like it was just going to be an average year for film, but as things started to normalize, the studios opened the floodgates and we got one great film after another. Whether it be one of the many musicals we saw, transportive vehicles like Dune, or some of the fantastic foreign films of the year, it was like an avalanche of greatness smothering us in artistic profundity. Or it was just a lot of fun. Either way, the last few months of 2021 will go down as one of the best, and most consistent, times for film.
