Our 2021 campaign is officially complete, which means our hard work is done, yes? If only it were that easy. We may have completed one cinematic year, but now it’s time to look ahead at the excessive force that is 2022. Sundance is already showing promise on the indie front, but the rest of the year sees a bombardment of blockbusters, superhero movies (again), and exciting new works by many of today’s favorite filmmakers. 2021 may have offered a glimpse of cinematic normalcy, but 2022 looks to be solidifying it; if that’s not a reason to get excited then I don’t know what is.
