Infiltration is the name of the game. Whether it the South Boston Irish mob, a group of thieves, high school, or kindergarten, cinema has given us many stories about undercover cops and FBI agents infiltrating various territories. Some of these movies are action packed, others hilarious, and others topically and tragically true, but they all have one thing in common – they are thrilling as hell. Inspired by the new release of Shaka King’s Judas and the Black Messiah, which tells the true story of FBI agent William O’Neal infiltrating the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party and its chairman Fred Hampton, this felt like the perfect opportunity to celebrate this incredible collection of cops and robbers.
With that said, what is your favorite undercover cop movie? We realize the term undercover “cop” is a bit loose, as we are also including FBI informants and detectives within the mix.
