Say what you will about Shakespeare in Love or The Aviator, but those films are gorgeous to look at and a big part of its evocative lore are the costumes by Powell. Even outside of her Oscar-winning work, what she brings to Carol, Hugo, Cinderella and The Favourite, among others, is unmatched.
