– Stingray Update (8:30)
After some opening banter, we open the show this week with another Stingray update. It had been a month since our last discussion as we were busy with our 2025 year-end homework, so JD had quite a few new additions to add to the mix. Once again, there are some unexpected surprises and a few really fun variations on scores we really love.

– Oscar Nomination Expectations (25:44)
This year’s Oscar nominations will be announced later this week, and we wanted to dive into a few expectations we are looking out for as we gear up for the 98th Academy Awards in March. There are some hopedictions that we also reveal even if we’re not all that hopeful. Either way, we are very curious for Thursdays announcements, and at the very least, we expect there to be some interesting first-time additions to Oscars lore.

– Most Anticipated Movies of 2026 (1:09:49)
The InSession Film Awards is one of our favorite shows each year, but it’s a new year and that means new movies to look forward to as we turn the page. 2026 will be interesting as the summer season looks pretty abysmal outside of a few exceptions. There’s hope for Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Supergirl, but there’s a lot of questions otherwise.  The fall season looks way more compelling with the likes of Dune: Messiah, Avengers: Doomsday, Sunrise on the Reaping and Narnia. Mostly, 2026 will be defined by great filmmakers taking bold risks as we’re getting potential bangers from Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, Robert Eggers, Joel Coen, David Lowery, Pedro Almodovar, James Gray and two movies from our boy Hirokazu Kore-eda. Not to mention more from Jane Schoenbrun, Annie Baker, Nicolas Winding Refin, Kogonada, Tom Ford, M. Night Shyamalan and many more that we’re excited about. That said, what would be your top 5 most anticipated movies of the year?
