The Matrix Resurrections, Drive My Car, The Worst Person in the World & More
As you know, we’ve been very busy reviewing all of the great films that have trickled out into theaters over the last few months, however there are a few that JD and Brendan haven’t had a chance to discuss yet. So here we are, with our last Patreon Bonus Content “catch up” episode before we get to our annual InSession Film Awards. We also talk about Paul Verhoeven’s Benedetta, one of the better overlooked movies of the year Bergman Island, the hidden gem The Novice and Pedro Almodóvar’s new film Parallel Mothers.

Mass, Nine Days, The Humans & More
For those who have listened to the Main Show in recent weeks, you probably noticed that we’ve been very busy reviewing many of the notable film that have been released. However, in that time we’ve seen many more that we’ve been itching to talk about, so we dedicated another Patreon Bonus Content episode to doing just that. On this episode we give our thoughts on Pablo Lorrain’s Ema, Julia Ducournau’s Titane, the A24 film Zola, the western Old Henry and also the Mads Mikkelsen-starring vehicle Riders of Justice. We then end things by discussing two documentaries in The Sparks Brothers and Untold: Crimes & Penalties.

The Suicide Squad, Annette, Malignant & More
For those who have listened to the Main Show in recent weeks, you may have noticed that between our Lord of the Rings Movie Series, our 2003 Retrospective and recent iTunes campaign, we haven’t had much space to offer up our thoughts on all the other 2021 movies that we’ve caught up with. So we dedicated this show to doing just that. The only crossover on this episode is James Wan’s Malignant, as both Brendan and JD give their thoughts on the film. Individually though, Brendan finally gives us his perspective on James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and the strange but brilliant musical Annette. JD, on the other hand, offers up his thoughts on Reminiscence, Kate, Worth, The Guilty and The Little Things.

Review: Blackhat (sort of)
If you listened to Episode 432, you may have heard that we had some technical difficulties with our Blackhat review as we attempted to conclude our Michael Mann Movie Series. However, it was an interesting journey as our thoughts on the film changed over the course of the conversation. Something we felt would be hard to replicate in another review. So, despite missing 1/3 of the audio, we thought we would go ahead and post the audio we do have (2/3 of it) so 1) you have context for Episode 433 when we review it again and 2) you can enjoy the evolution of the conversation.
