This week on the InSession Film Podcast, we discuss Pixar’s latest in Coco and our Top 3 movies about tradition. We also dive head first into Greta Gerwig’s directorial debut Lady Bird, starring the great Saoirse Ronan.
Boy, oh boy, is this a fun episode. We always enjoy talking about Pixar and we struggled to contain our excitement for Lady Bird. This week’s episode may be a little longer than usual, but hopefully our energy and enthusiasm made up for that time difference. You can also hear Brendan give his thoughts on Mudbound during the first break segment – as he missed out on that review on our latest Extra Film podcast.
On that note, check out this week’s show and let us know what you think in the comment section. Thanks for listening and for supporting the InSession Film Podcast!

Tradition is something that every culture clings onto in some way or another, and movies have wonderfully tapped into how that effects our lives. Whether it’s holiday traditions or other rituals that we abide by everyday, there are countless examples in film of how traditions guide us – for better or worse – and hopefully you enjoy our lists as we explore that for our Top 3 this week. That said, what would be your top 3?
