Just going to cut to the chase here: Hugh Jackman’s new film Prisoners looks really, really good.
Today we got the first trailer for Jackman’s upcoming thriller Prisoners. Jackman plays a father whose daughter is kidnapped, while Jake Gyllenhaal plays the detective on the lookout and Paul Dano the suspect.
This trailer is intense and gripping and definitely puts a more realistic spin on the kidnapped-daughter idea (unlike Liam Neeson going across the globe to kill 50 people in Taken). This is definitely one I’ll be checking out, especially with this cast: Jackman, Gyllenhaal, Dano, Mario Bello, Terrence Howard, Viola Davis and Melissa Leo. Wow.
Prisoners opens on September 20.
