This week on Extra Film, Ryan and Jay continue their Sergio Leone Movie Series with For a Few Dollars More and then they discuss the new Mia Hansen-Løve’s flick, Bergman Island!
Following last week’s conversation of A Fistful of Dollars, the Extra Film boys tackle the second, less talked about film in the Dollars Trilogy. With a darker story and bigger budget, Leone was able to elevate this project from his last and make one of the greatest westerns of all time, and a movie Ryan and Jay absolutely gushed about.
In the back half of the episode, the guy’s review Bergman Island. With so many films coming out from the film festivals very soon, in comes one from the Cannes Film Festival that is an ode to the classic director Ingmar Bergman, his work, the island he worked on, and the creation of movies and stories. Led by two wonderful female performances, this is one of those gems you need to see asap.
