Podcast: A Monster Calls, Top 3 Scenes of 2016 – Episode 203
This podcast is brought to you by Audible.com.
This week on the InSession Film Podcast, Sarah Buddery from SarahSawAMovie.com joins us to review J.A. Bayona’s latest film, A Monster Calls. We also discuss our Top 3 movie scenes of 2016 and we give out our predictions for the 2017 Golden Globe Awards!
Thanks again to Sarah for joining us this week, it was a huge pleasure to get her on the show. She warned us about the power of A Monster Calls months ago and she did not let us down. She was a wonderful guest and we can’t wait to have her back. We also had a blast predicting this year’s Golden Globe Awards, which actually happened the same night we recorded this. Meaning, as you listen, you’ll know whether we were right or wrong.
On that note, check out the show and let us know what you think in the comment section. Thanks for listening and thanks for supporting the InSession Film Podcast!

– Top 3 Scenes of 2016 (53:10)
Of all the year end Top 3’s we do, this one is arguably the most difficult. There are countless individual scenes that could qualify for this list, but that’s what makes this list exciting in the end. Given that there are so many to choose from, the scenes that do make our list carry a lot of weight with us. There is no doubt that the choices on this specific list will help define 2016 in terms of film. On that note, what would be your top 3?

– 2017 Golden Globe Awards Predictions (1:42:11)
As stated above, we recorded this before the ceremony on January 8th, so we had no clue how it was going to shake out when having this conversation. And it’s telling, because our predictions are far from perfect.
