This week on the InSession Film Podcast, as we gear up for Festival season and the rest of the year, we talk about our most anticipated movies of the fall season! We also pay our respects to the late-greats Dolly Parton, Peter Cullen and Tim Curry.

We begin the show this week on a dour note as we discuss the passings of the greats Dolly Parton, Peter Cullen and Tim Curry. Parton is a nation treasure whose kindness will never be repaid. She was the best of us. Cullen was such a big part of our childhood (especially JD) and made for some incredible memories that we deeply cherish. Curry was one of those chameleon actors who could mold (almost literally) into any role. They will all be deeply missed.
– Days of Thunder / National Treasure Sequels (33:41)
Next, we briefly talk about the announcements of a pair of sequels in Days of Thunder 2 and National Treasure 3. We’re not sure how Days of Thunder 2 will separate itself from others of its kind in recent years, but we are excited for National Treasure 3, a sequel that many people would have liked to have seen years ago.
– Fall Preview (55:15)
For our 2026 fall preview, we go through the next few months and talk about all the films you need to have on your radar as festival/awards season ramps up. There are so many movies to look forward to in what looks like an extremely promising field. We try to name as many as possible, but as always, there are some films that likely will go under the radar to be excited about as well. With that said, what films are most looking forward to this fall season?
