– 2025 Catch-Up (4:15)
To begin the show this week, for the last time in our 2025 campaign, we talk about some more homework we’ve done and the films we’ve caught up with over the last few weeks. We start with our thoughts on the horror film Good Boy (Indy rules) and then debate the Charlie Polinger psychological drama The Plague. JD then gives us his review of Bi Gan’s striking new film Resurrection, Lav Diaz’s patient epic Magellan and the very charming Sarah Friedland film Familiar Touch.

– Top 10 Scenes of 2025 (Picks 5-1) (48:51)
As we noted last week, this is one of our favorite exercises that we do each year. It’s challenging, for sure, but the passion you get for talking about the best scenes in any given year is just unparalleled. And this week we are talking about our absolute favorite moments from cinema in 2025. These are the scenes that moved us to tears. That thrilled us beyond belief. That shook us in some big way. With that said, what would be your Top 10?
