Jon, from Second Rate Report, gives us his thoughts on Peter Jackson’s latest, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Jon, seemed to like the film better than Scott and JD, although had some of the same issues with the film. What do you think? Do you agree with Jon?

Bilbo took a step up in this movie. Freeman is a good actor. He was good in the first movie as well. Just watch his expressions and his looks. Also the first movie has to setup the story. Thats just the way it is
I agree Freeman is a wonderful actor. And while he does a great job, the character and the story overall could of been written better. Jackson is too worried about linking this to his LOTR movies, he forgets the main thing with this story.
