On this episode, JD and Brendan discuss the latest film from Derek Cianfrance in Roofman, starring the great Channing Tatum! It’s been awhile since the last feature from Cianfrance, but we are big fans of his previous work, in particular Blue Valentine and The Place Beyond the Pines. Roofman is quite the departure from those aforementioned films tonally, however what’s fascinating about the film is how he threads the needle between humor and the tender complexities that he brings to his characters.
