– Opening Banter / OBAA Box Office (0:31)
We begin this week by diving back into the box office for One Battle After Another as it’s now crossed $100 million worldwide. While that’s still far below what is needed for the film to break even, we wanted to talk about why it’s still a massive win for PTA and Warner Bros. In a 2025 context especially, Warner Bros. is likely more concerned with it winning awards, regardless of how much money it loses in the initial theatrical run.
– Spider-Man 4 / Fast & Furious Franchise (25:49)
Recently, in an interview with Kirstin Dunst, she had a really great idea for Spider-Man 4 that involved Peter and MJ as parents. It might be a simple idea, but it’s one that sounded really compelling to us and we felt inspired to discuss why we’d be eager to see it. Finally, we also had to talk about the fun irony of the Fast & Furious franchise potentially being dead in the water. It doesn’t look like Universal has any plans to do another film, and if it is the end for the FF crew, the last film ended in the funniest way possible.

Movie soundtracks are a lot of fun. Some of them are incredibly iconic in the world of cinema. Some of them are perhaps underrated.
