As Hiccup taught us, to live the life of a Viking is an “occupational hazard.” Perhaps this is why movies about Vikings, or Norsemen, are often some of the most epic and adventurous stories ever told. Whether steeped in fantasy or the histories of the Viking Age, films depicting the people of Scandinavia will always go big, and this weekend’s The Northman appears to be no exception.
