This week on the Extra Film Podcast, Ryan and Sophia continue their Martin Scorsese Movie Series with his iconic 1990 film Goodfellas and they also discuss the controversial Netflix film Blonde!
This entire Scorsese series has been building to this point, and we did our very best to give Goodfellas the justice it deserves. You’ll have to forgive the length of this week’s episode as our Goodfellas conversation alone was a show-wide record of 90 minutes. Yes, you read that correctly. We spent an hour and half talking about why it’s such an iconic film and one of the best movies ever made. And with Blonde, we didn’t want to come in guns blazing like some sort of hit piece. We did not like the film, but we did our best to be thoughtful and articulate as to why it doesn’t work.
On that note, check out this week’s show and let us know what you think in the comment section. Thanks for listening and for supporting the InSession Film Podcast!
