This week on the InSession Film Podcast, inspired by Hoppers jumping into theaters this weekend, we did our Pixar Movie Draft! Pixar’s top-end filmography is about as good as it gets, with some of the very best animated movies ever made. This was a competitive and very fun conversation.

– No Scream 7 / Paramount & Warner Bros. (2:52)
We begin the show this week by talking about why we are not reviewing Scream 7 on the podcast. Paramount and Spyglass’ reaction to Melissa Barrera was handled very poorly and the direction they took afterward left a lot to be desired. Speaking of Paramount, we then shift to the likelihood of their agreement to buy Warner Bros. It’s not great, Bob. We are incredibly dubious that it will turn out well and had a lot to say on the matter.

– Oscars Race (44:20)
After the Actor Awards last weekend, many of the major categories are now ambigious and up in the air. It’s quite refreshing compared to most years where it’s all locked up by this point in the season. However, despite that, there’s still been a lot of arrow slinging and absurd discourse over Sinners, One Battle After Another, Timothée Chalamet and Hamnet. There is so much to be excited about, regardless of who wins, and we just can’t get over how silly the conversation is right now.

– Pixar Draft (1:13:14)
We’ve talked a lot about Pixar over the years, but with Hoppers coming out in theaters this weekend, we wanted to back to the well once again. This time we wanted to do a movie draft with Pixar’s filmography. The great films at the top are perhaps obvious and that might mean they cancel each other out when it comes to the votes. This could be one of those drafts where the bottom rounds make up the difference as Pixar’s filmography is kind of all over the place with audience reactions. So the results here should be fascinating. That said, who do you think won our Pixar draft?
