It’s often hailed as one of the very best years for cinema, and we wanted to get Julia’s thoughts on why that is the case and what separates it from many other years.

While some of the films she picked were expected given their cultural impact, she had others that were quite the curveball, and it was really fun to hear her talk about those movies and why they resonate with her.
