Walt Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph was named Best Animated Feature during Saturday’s Annie Wards, which are are presented by the International Animated Film Society.
Wreck-It Ralph, a comedy about a video game villain who wants to turn hero, won over a good field, which included Brave, Frankenweenie, ParaNorman and Hotel Transylvania. While a lot of critics say 2012 was a down year for animated movies, I thoroughly enjoyed Brave and Hotel Transylvania very much. I thought both of those movies were also deserving, and probably more so to be honest.
That being said, Wreck-It Ralph still dominated the film categories. The movie also won Annies for director Rich Moore, voice co-star Alan Tudyk and for its music and screenplay.
