Podcast: The Sense of an Ending, Julieta – Extra Film
This week on the InSession Film Podcast: Extra Film segment, we get nostalgic as we discuss The Sense of an Ending and the Spanish film Julieta, two films that feature main characters reflecting on their past and how it effects their present. Despite their similarities, one of these films is much better than the other.
Regardless of quality though, the reflective parallels of these two films structurally is quite uncanny. I’m not sure we’ve ever paired up two films in this kind of manner before. If you strip away the languages and culture norms of each film respectively, both films are essentially striving for the same things. And it was fun diving into all of that this week.
On that note, have fun listening to this week’s Extra Film segment and let us know what you think in the comment section below. Hope you enjoy and thanks for listening!
