This week on the InSession Film Podcast, we discuss a new film now out in limited release, Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter, which is based off a story surrounding a Japanese woman who went on a treasure hunt to find the money buried at the end of the Coen brothers film, Fargo. So, going off of that, we discussed our Top 3 movies that affected us the most in real life, which was fun and very personal. And for our discussion segment this week, we start a new segment called InSession Confession.

No guest this week as Brendan and JD hold down the fort, which was great as it gave us space to have a great in-depth discussion on Kumiko. Also, don’t miss our latest Extra Film where we discuss The Breakfast Club, which recently celebrated it’s 30th anniversary.

Anyway, check out this week’s show and let us know what you think in the comment section. Thanks for listening and thanks for supporting our podcast!

Top 3 Movies That Affected Us Most In Real Life (40:08)
Going off of our discussion of Kumiko, we decided to talk about the films that had a lingering effect on us in real life too. Sometimes art and real life aren’t too distinct from one another and art can have a lasting impact, in a good way. And it’s those kinds of films, we discuss for our Top 3 this week, which was real, authentic and very personal. That being said, what would be your Top 3?

– InSession Confession (1:16:57)

In the spirit of personal transparency on this show, we started a new segment we are calling InSession Confession. This is where we lay out our movie dirty laundry and confess to the classics we haven’t seen, our guilty pleasures or anything else movie related that we want to confess to. Boy, this got interesting.
