Podcast Review: Magnolia

On this episode, we begin our 1999 Retrospective by reviewing Paul Thomas Anderson’s mosaic masterpiece in Magnolia! 1999 is often considered to be the best year for cinema, and it’s easy to see why with the films like Magnolia at the top, a film that deserved all of its awards recognition that year. It’s three hours of interweaving narratives, frogs falling from the sky and a completely unhinged Tom Cruise. Digging into the greatness of this film was a ton of fun and a great way to begin the retrospective.
