On this week’s Extra Film, Ryan and Jay start their Billy Wilder Movie Series with Double Indemnity, and they also the dark comedy, I Care A Lot.
After finishing the Wachowski Sisters’ Movie Series last week, the boys go back into the movie time machine and go to cover one of the most celebrated directors of all time in Billy Wilder. With Double Indemnity, Ryan and Jay cross of another blind spot and bask in awe of one of the greatest noir films to ever be put to screen. It’s another great start to a Movie Series for Extra Film.
In the back half of the episode, the boys talk about the new dark comedy, I Care A Lot. As divisive of a movie to come out in some time, I Care A Lot has been struggling to fully connect with the audiences who have seen it. This leads to a divide amongst the hosts, as Ryan doesn’t know what to make of it, and Jay sort of likes it more than him. Overall a wonderful review to listen to.
