– 2025 Catch-Up (4:05)
To begin the show this week we jump into some films that both Brendan and JD have seen, including the Hikari film Rental Family, the Shih-Ching Tsou film Left-Handed Girl, the documentaries Predators and John Candy: I Like Me. We then turn our attention to a couple of animated films as we dig into The Bad Guys 2 and the gorgeous French film Little Amélie or the Character of Rain, a film that really took Brendan in a big way.
– More 2025 Catch-Up (1:28:42)
As we begin to wind down, Brendan then goes on talk about the little comedy The Baltimorons from Jay Duplass. JD gives us his thoughts on the German film Sound of Falling, the Chinese film Caught by the Tides, Yorgos Lanthimos’ latest in Bugonia, the French animated film Arco and Edward Berger’s new film Ballad of a Small Player.
