– Opening Banter / Funny Sports Story (10:19)
After some opening banter, we begin the show with a funny sports rabbit hole that involves Brendan’s Penn State Nittany Lions and the ongoing Head Coaching search for their football team. Sometimes Twitter accounts get hacked, and sometimes it’s quite hilarious with what ensues.
– Stingray Update / Zootopia 2 Box Office (19:37)
Once we get into the main stuff, we continue our Stingray movie music updates with more of JD’s journey with the channel. Over the last two weeks he heard some new stuff that made him come running to the TV (literally). We then shift to Zootopia 2 and it’s incredible box office haul on its opening weekend. It could end up close to $1.5 billion when it’s all said and done. Warner Bros may have dominated the year, but Disney is going to end the year on an astounding note between that film and the upcoming Avatar: Fire & Ash.
– George Clooney Draft (1:01:59)
Given that Jay Kelly is about an aging actor who finds himself going to a festival who is honoring his career, we thought it would be fun to participate in that meta exercise by talking about Clooney’s career in retrospect. And we thought it would be fun to do that with our latest movie draft. We did include some of Clooney’s smaller, but incredibly memorable, supporting roles as well as his more prominent movies. His directorial career was also in play for us with this draft. With that said, what would be your Top 10 Clooney movies?
