We begin the show this week by digging into the absolutely insane discourse around Weapons that took place last weekend. It’s nothing new, but it still boggles the mind how dismissive and obtuse the conversation often gets on social media. Which is especially disappointing in this case because Weapons is a fascinating film to talk about, regardless of where you fall on it.
– New Studio Comedy / Bayformers (32:46)
Off the heels of our discussion last week on the show and questioning if we’re in a new era for Hollywood, we thought it was quite interesting to hear that Jonah Hill will be directing a new studio comedy coming to theaters next summer. Is that a coincidence? Maybe, but perhaps it’s not. We also had some fun talking about the possibility of Michael Bay coming back to Transformers. The rumor mill is a buzzing and we’re excited about it.
– Top 5 Couples in Horror Movies (47:19)
This was a unique and fun topic to discuss given that it’s not all that common in film conversation. Horror obviously comes with plenty to mine out of them, but romantic couples aren’t necessarily at the top of the list. Which made this both distinct, but also challenging when trying to narrow down our list. In the end, we had a great time with this one. With that said, what would be your Top 5 horror couples?
