Chasing the Gold: PGA Locks in ‘One Battle,’ SAG Goes Big For ‘Sinners’

A weekend of awards ceremonies has made the 2026 Oscars the most unpredictable Academy Awards of the modern era.

Saturday’s Producers Guild Awards handed the top prize to One Battle After Another, setting it on a clear path to win Best Picture on March 15th. The top documentary prize went to My Mom Jayne, a film not even shortlisted by the Academy.

The Screen Actors Guild held their newly renamed Actor Awards on Sunday (live-streamed on Netflix) and awarded the top prize ensemble prize to Sinners. And with wins for Michael B. Jordan, Amy Madigan, and Sean Penn, it seems our only acting sweep of the season will be Jessie Buckley.

With Oscar voting happening now, and the Oscars less than two weeks away, we can look forward to an Oscar ceremony with a number of races still in play. Let chaos reign!
