Podcast: Top 3 Music Biopics

This week on the InSession Film Podcast, we discuss the N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton. Music biopics have been around for quite some time and despite some stigma’s behind them, it’s a genre that has seem some great films over the years. So for this week’s top 3, we strapped on a guitar and came up with some great films to talk about.

That being said, what music biopics would make your list? Here are the one’s that made ours (Keep in mind we all have different criteria for our lists as well):

JD

1) Amadeus
2) Walk the Line
3) Ray

Richard

1) Amadeus
2) I’m Not There
3) The Doors

Honorable Mentions (Combined)

Sid and Nancy, What’s Love Got To Do With It

Hopefully you guys enjoyed our lists and if you agree or disagree with us, let us know in the comment section below. As I mentioned on the show a few times, there’s a lot of this genre I’m not as familiar with, meaning we left a lot of films in this genre on the table. That being said, what would be your Top 3?
