Remember being amazed by Neill Blomkamp’s feature film debut District 9? Yeah, it was awesome. Blomkamp’s follow-up Elysium is coming out this summer and today we got our first look at it with a new poster featuring Matt Damon with some sort of contraption strapped to his back.
I can’t wait for Elysium, another socially conscious sci-fi film where the wealthy live on a space station and the poor stay on an environmentally-wrecked Earth. It stars Damon, Jodie Foster and Sharlto Copley. The first official trailer debuts later today and we’ll have it for you to check out.
Elysium hits theaters on August 9.
